“I have been on 7 trips to the British Isles with Jeff and Royal Links Golf Tours. I keep going back because each trip is somehow better than the last. We’ve played in Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales, and each trip has been amazing. One area that is often overlooked by people seeking great links golf experiences is Wales. On one trip, before moving into England, we played Royal Porthcawl, Pyle & Kenfig, Tenby, Pennard and Aberdovey in Wales. Each course was an excellent example of how golf was originally played and in my opinion, how it was meant to be played. There is no better example than Aberdovey. It’s in a remote part of the country and the course is right up against the sea. The course is a real test of golf and I’ll never forget seeing a couple of cows meander through the course, oblivious as we played through. The courses were great but the off-course experiences were great, as well. We took in a professional soccer game in Cardiff that was a real treat and I’ll never forget their raving mad fans. Jeff’s trips are very special and I’ll continue to play in the British Isles with the help of Royal Links Golf Tours.”

“I have been on multiple trips to the British Isles with Jeff and although each trip was amazing, he has a way of making your next trip better than the last. One trip that you must not overlook, is a golf pilgrimage through Wales and the Lancashire coast of England. The Wales countryside is stunning and the golf courses even more so. Among my favorites are Royal Porthcawl, a brawny championship links and Tenby, the town after which the course is named is perched on a cliff right above boats bobbing in the harbor creating an idyllic setting. But for the best hardcore links golf experience (aside from St. Andrews) you must go to the west coast of England, hard against the Irish Sea. The closely bunched courses include Royal Lytham & St. Annes, Royal Birkdale, Royal Liverpool, Southport and Ainsdale, Formby and Hillside. All fantastic links that have held multiple Open Championships, Ryder Cups, Amateur events and tournament qualifiers. Jeff is a remarkably knowledgeable host and you will never regret creating memories that last a lifetime on one of his trips- you will only regret not doing so!”
